Official Logan County record requests belong with the office that created or maintains the document. Court files are kept at the courthouse in Lincoln. Sheriff reports and jail records are handled at the Safety Complex. State criminal-history products come from Illinois State Police. The contacts below route common requests to those government custodians.

This Is Not a Government Office. This private reference site cannot retrieve, certify, remove, or correct records, run official checks, or accept Illinois expungement filings.

Need an Official Record?

Send each request to its official Logan County or Illinois custodian:

  • Court cases and dispositions: Logan County Circuit Clerk, 601 Broadway Street, P.O. Box 158, Lincoln, IL 62656; 217-735-2376; circuitinfo@logancountyil.gov. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with a noon to 1 p.m. closure effective April 1, 2026.
  • Sheriff arrest and incident reports: Logan County Sheriff's Records Office, Safety Complex, 911 Pekin Street, Lincoln, IL 62656; 217-732-4159. Sheriff FOIA requests are mailed or delivered there.
  • Current jail questions: Logan County Jail at the Safety Complex, 217-735-2610. The jail operates 24 hours.
  • State conviction information and personal record review: Illinois State Police Bureau of Identification through UCIA or Access and Review.
  • City police reports: contact Lincoln, Atlanta, or Mount Pulaski police directly because those reports do not become sheriff records when booking occurs.
  • Expungement and sealing: use Illinois Courts forms and file the eligible case request with the Logan County Circuit Clerk.

The sheriff counter handles county law-enforcement records, while the Circuit Clerk is the source for the filed charge and final court result.
